Alconbury is unique among the towns we cover because it has two completely different housing personalities side by side. The historic village — population around 1,400 — holds stone cottages, Victorian terraces, and 1930s infill on the old streets running through to Alconbury Weston. Right next door, on what used to be RAF Alconbury until 2014, sits Alconbury Weald: a brand-new town with 5,000+ homes planned, the first phase occupied since 2016 and more being built every year.
