Terms of Service
These terms of service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Bathrooms & Plumbing website and any services provided by Bathrooms & Plumbing (“we”, “us”, “our”). By using our website or engaging our services, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully.
1. About Us
Bathrooms & Plumbing is a trading name operating across the United Kingdom. Our role is to connect customers with independent, verified local tradespeople who provide plumbing, heating, and bathroom installation services. Bathrooms & Plumbing does not carry out plumbing, heating, or building work itself — the work is always carried out by the independent tradesperson we introduce you to.
2. Services
Through our website you can request quotes for plumbing, heating, bathroom fitting, and related work. We pass your enquiry to a suitable independent tradesperson. The specific scope and price of any work is agreed before work commences, directly between you and the introduced tradesperson.
3. Our Role as an Introducer, and Vetting
Bathrooms & Plumbing acts as an introducer. We connect you with an independent local tradesperson — a separate business — who can contact you, quote, and carry out the work. In practice:
- We share the contact and job details you provide with a suitable tradesperson so they can get in touch and quote for the work
- Any agreement for the work is between you and that tradesperson directly. They are responsible for the work they carry out, their own insurance, and their own guarantees
- Bathrooms & Plumbing accepts no liability for work carried out by an introduced tradesperson
- We recommend you confirm the price and check qualifications and insurance before instructing any tradesperson
We take reasonable steps to check that a tradesperson is suitable for the type of work described in your enquiry, proportionate to that work. For example, where your enquiry involves gas work, we check that the tradesperson holds current Gas Safe registration. We do not carry out certification checks that are not relevant to the work you have enquired about.
Our checks and involvement relate only to the enquiry you submit. If, after being introduced, you arrange any additional or different work with a tradesperson — for example work of a different type, or further work identified once they attend — that is a private arrangement between you and the tradesperson. We have not verified the tradesperson for that additional work, are not party to it, and accept no liability for it.
4. Quotes and Pricing
- All prices shown on our website are guide prices only and do not constitute a binding offer
- Before any work begins, the tradesperson will provide a fixed-price written quote based on an assessment of the specific job
- Fixed-price quotes are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless the tradesperson states otherwise
- Additional work not included in the original quote will only be carried out with your prior agreement and at a price agreed with the tradesperson
- Prices quoted by the tradesperson include VAT where applicable, in accordance with their own VAT status
5. Payment
Payment for the work is made directly to the independent tradesperson who carries it out, on terms agreed between you and them. Bathrooms & Plumbing does not take payment for the work and does not charge you for the introduction.
- Payment is due on completion of the work unless otherwise agreed in writing with the tradesperson
- For larger projects, the tradesperson may require a deposit or staged payments. These will be detailed in their quote
- The tradesperson will confirm which payment methods they accept
- Late payments to the tradesperson may incur interest in accordance with any statutory rights they have
6. Cancellation and Cooling-Off Period
Any contract for the work is between you and the independent tradesperson, and your cancellation rights apply to that contract. Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013:
- Where you arrange work remotely (via our website, phone, or email), you generally have a 14-day cooling-off period from the date you accept the tradesperson’s quote during which you can cancel without reason
- If you request that work begins within the cooling-off period, you agree to pay the tradesperson for any work already completed up to the point of cancellation
- If work is fully completed within the cooling-off period with your agreement, you lose the right to cancel
Cancellation after the cooling-off period:
- You may cancel at any time before work is completed
- You will be liable to the tradesperson for the cost of any work already carried out, materials already purchased, and any reasonable cancellation costs
- To cancel, contact the tradesperson directly. You can also contact us at [email protected] or call 01480 584868 and we will pass your cancellation on
7. Our Obligations
As an introducer, Bathrooms & Plumbing will:
- Take reasonable steps to check that a tradesperson is suitable for the type of work described in your enquiry, proportionate to that work (see section 3)
- Share the details you provide only with a suitable tradesperson, for the purpose of quoting and carrying out your enquiry
- Handle your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy
- Not charge you for the introduction service
The independent tradesperson is responsible for carrying out the work with reasonable care and skill (in accordance with the Consumer Rights Act 2015), using materials that are of satisfactory quality and fit for purpose, complying with all relevant Building Regulations and industry standards, ensuring any gas work is carried out by a Gas Safe registered engineer, and leaving your property in a clean and tidy condition.
8. Your Obligations
You agree to:
- Provide accurate information about the work required and the condition of your property
- Ensure safe and reasonable access to the work area for the tradesperson
- Inform us and the tradesperson of any known hazards, asbestos, or structural issues
- Make timely decisions on materials and specifications to avoid delays
- Provide access to water, electricity, and parking as reasonably required by the tradesperson
9. Guarantees
- Any workmanship guarantee is provided by the independent tradesperson who carries out the work, directly to you, and is subject to their own terms
- Manufacturer warranties on products and materials are in addition to any workmanship guarantee and are subject to the manufacturer’s own terms
- A tradesperson’s guarantee will not typically cover damage caused by misuse, neglect, or interference by third parties
- To make a guarantee claim, contact the tradesperson who carried out the work. If you have difficulty reaching them, contact us and we will help put you back in touch
10. Limitation of Liability
- Bathrooms & Plumbing provides an introduction service only and does not carry out the work. We accept no liability for work carried out by an introduced tradesperson (see section 3)
- Our total liability to you for any claim arising from or in connection with our introduction service shall not exceed the total amount (if any) you have paid to Bathrooms & Plumbing
- We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, or incidental losses, including but not limited to loss of profit, loss of use, or damage to property
- Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded by law
- We are not liable for delays or failures caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control (see Force Majeure)
11. Timescales
Any timescales are provided by the tradesperson and are estimates only. Bathrooms & Plumbing is not party to the work and accepts no liability for delays, including those caused by supply chain issues, weather, access problems, or the discovery of unforeseen issues during work.
12. Force Majeure
We are not liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations where such failure or delay results from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to: severe weather, flooding, fire, pandemic, government action, supply chain disruption, or utility failure.
13. Complaints
Complaints about the work itself should be raised with the tradesperson who carried it out. If you are unhappy with any aspect of our introduction service:
- Contact us at [email protected] or call 01480 584868
- We will acknowledge your complaint within 2 working days
- We aim to resolve all complaints within 14 days
- If we cannot resolve the matter directly, you may seek resolution through your local Citizens Advice Bureau or the relevant ombudsman service

16. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Bathrooms & Plumbing harmless from any claims, losses, or damages arising from inaccurate information you provide, your breach of these Terms, or your failure to comply with your obligations under these Terms.
17. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
18. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these Terms or our services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
