Terms of Service
These terms of service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Bathrooms & Plumbing website and any services provided by Bathrooms & Plumbing (“we”, “us”, “our”). By using our website or engaging our services, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully.
1. About Us
Bathrooms & Plumbing is a trading name operating across the United Kingdom. Our primary role is to connect customers with independent, vetted local tradespeople who provide plumbing, heating, and bathroom installation services. In some cases — typically smaller jobs — we may carry out work directly ourselves.
2. Services
Through our website you can request quotes for plumbing, heating, bathroom fitting, and related work. The specific scope and price of any work will be agreed before work commences — between you and the introduced tradesperson, or between you and us where we carry out the work directly.
3. Our Role as an Introducer, and Vetting
For most enquiries, Bathrooms & Plumbing acts as an introducer. We connect you with an independent local tradesperson — a separate business — who can contact you, quote, and carry out the work. Where we do so:
- We share the contact and job details you provide with a suitable tradesperson so they can get in touch and quote for the work
- Any agreement for the work is between you and that tradesperson directly. They are responsible for the work they carry out, their own insurance, and their own guarantees
- Bathrooms & Plumbing accepts no liability for work carried out by an introduced tradesperson
- We recommend you confirm the price and check qualifications and insurance before instructing any tradesperson
We take reasonable steps to check that a tradesperson is suitable for the type of work described in your enquiry, proportionate to that work. For example, where your enquiry involves gas work, we check that the tradesperson holds current Gas Safe registration. We do not carry out certification checks that are not relevant to the work you have enquired about.
Our checks and involvement relate only to the enquiry you submit. If, after being introduced, you arrange any additional or different work with a tradesperson — for example work of a different type, or further work identified once they attend — that is a private arrangement between you and the tradesperson. We have not vetted the tradesperson for that additional work, are not party to it, and accept no liability for it.
4. Work We Carry Out Directly
Where Bathrooms & Plumbing carries out work directly rather than introducing a tradesperson, we act as the service provider, and the obligations, guarantees, and liability set out in these Terms apply to that work. Any gas work we carry out directly will be completed by a Gas Safe registered engineer.
5. Quotes and Pricing
- All prices quoted on our website are guide prices only and do not constitute a binding offer
- Before any work begins, we will provide a fixed-price written quote based on an assessment of the specific job
- Fixed-price quotes are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless stated otherwise
- Additional work not included in the original quote will only be carried out with your prior agreement and at an agreed price
- Prices include VAT where applicable. If we are not VAT-registered, prices are inclusive of all charges
6. Payment
- Payment is due on completion of the work unless otherwise agreed in writing
- For larger projects, we may require a deposit or staged payments. These will be detailed in the quote
- We accept bank transfer, cash, and card payments where available
- Late payments may incur interest at 4% above the Bank of England base rate, in accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998
7. Cancellation and Cooling-Off Period
Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013:
- If you arrange work remotely (via our website, phone, or email), you have a 14-day cooling-off period from the date you accept a quote during which you can cancel without reason
- If you request that work begins within the cooling-off period, you agree to pay for any work already completed up to the point of cancellation
- If work is fully completed within the cooling-off period with your agreement, you lose the right to cancel
Cancellation after the cooling-off period:
- You may cancel at any time before work is completed
- You will be liable for the cost of any work already carried out, materials already purchased, and any reasonable cancellation costs
- To cancel, contact us at [email protected] or call 01480 584868
8. Our Obligations
Where we carry out work directly, we will:
- Carry out all work with reasonable care and skill, in accordance with the Consumer Rights Act 2015
- Use materials that are of satisfactory quality and fit for purpose
- Ensure all gas work is carried out by a Gas Safe registered engineer
- Comply with all relevant Building Regulations and industry standards
- Leave your property in a clean and tidy condition after completing work
- Provide reasonable notice if we need to reschedule
9. Your Obligations
You agree to:
- Provide accurate information about the work required and the condition of your property
- Ensure safe and reasonable access to the work area
- Inform us of any known hazards, asbestos, or structural issues
- Make timely decisions on materials and specifications to avoid delays
- Provide access to water, electricity, and parking as reasonably required
10. Guarantees
- Where we carry out work directly, all workmanship is guaranteed for 12 months from the date of completion, unless a longer guarantee is stated in writing
- Where you are introduced to an independent tradesperson, any workmanship guarantee is provided by that tradesperson directly and is subject to their own terms
- Manufacturer warranties on products and materials are in addition to any workmanship guarantee and are subject to the manufacturer’s own terms
- The guarantee does not cover damage caused by misuse, neglect, or interference by third parties
- To make a guarantee claim, contact us within the guarantee period with details of the issue
11. Limitation of Liability
- Our total liability for any claim arising from or in connection with our services shall not exceed the total amount you paid for the specific work giving rise to the claim
- We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, or incidental losses, including but not limited to loss of profit, loss of use, or damage to property not directly caused by our work
- Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded by law
- We are not liable for delays or failures caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control (see Force Majeure)
12. Timescales
Any timescales provided are estimates only and are not guaranteed. We will make reasonable efforts to complete work within the estimated timeframe but accept no liability for delays caused by factors outside our control, including supply chain issues, weather, access problems, or the discovery of unforeseen issues during work.
13. Force Majeure
We are not liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations where such failure or delay results from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to: severe weather, flooding, fire, pandemic, government action, supply chain disruption, or utility failure.

18. Severability
